| Notes | Finally got round to completing the last pair of hills out the northeast of Loch Lomond! Set off early on a nice dry day, not overly hot. Followed the thin and twisty road along Loch Voil in the Jimny. Saw a deer early on. Plodded up Beinn Tulaichean first, relatively tough climb without a path and lots of ferns.
Walking after the first ascent was much easier and we quickly made it to the top of Cruach Ardrain. Descent was largely uneventful, lots of sheep along the dirt track back. Then, about a mile from the car, one of my (dad’s…) Berghaus boots totally blew out at the sole. Jess gave me a hair bobble to hold it together and I awkwardly hobbled back to the car for a long drive home! |
